Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Benalla Camera Club
The photograph has an intangible link with our everyday lives. For some, photography goes beyond the casual snapshot; they pursue the process of creative image making.

VISIONS: Photographing Benalla and Beyond celebrates an important milestone for the Benalla Camera Club — its 70th Anniversary.

Exhibition organisers state, “Benalla Camera Club was formed 70 years ago. Today our club continues to explore expanding opportunities for photography. As well as creating images of the world around us, we pursue a range of techniques and photo-making experiments to capture the world beyond the scope of the human eye.”

“We can be found with camera in hand at every community occasion. Through our regular club competitions, activities and excursions, we work to share our knowledge, skills and experience of the art and craft of photography with the wider community.”

Member’s images reflecting a wide range of approaches to photography have been collected and curated into this exhibition at the Benalla Art Gallery.
